I pride myself on my ability to always hunger for knowledge.
Jake Slater is an actor, singer, dancer, and singer-songwriter hailing from the great land of Rochester, NY. At an early age, he found a passion in jamming out to Beatles records, singing loudly in the shower, and strumming the guitar. When he was a teenager, he fell in love with sharing a story with an audience when he played Moritz in a community theatre production of Spring Awakening, and he's been performing on stage ever since. Currently, Jake is enrolled at the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory in Berea, OH, where he is working to earn his Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre (expected in 2019). After graduation, he plans to move to New York City to pursue acting full-time.
In his spare time, Jake enjoys working out, playing video games, and recording original compositions in his home studio. Influenced by indie darlings such as Sufjan Stevens, Elliott Smith, and Jeff Buckley, Jake's unique sound infuses honest and raw lyrics with a barebones and wistful acoustic soundscape. His debut EP, From The Basement, will be released in October on iTunes, Spotify, and the rest of the major streaming services, so check it out when it gets released!
